Socratic Lectures 14th International Symposium, Ljubljana, April 17, 2026: PART I

It featured two plenary lectures, 9 scientific sessions, a poster session and the student session with about 240 active participants. With over 40 submissions received, the Proceedings of the 14th Socratic Lectures is organized into four distinct sections: Part I focuses on breast cancer research, followed by medicine in Part II, physics in Part III, and interdisciplinary sciences in Part IV. The contributions of Part I were prepared by the students under the methorship of professors. This vision is driven by a unique primary mission: to invite students to actively engage in authentic research early in their academic journeys. While student participation is well-established at the doctoral level or through prestigious accolades like the Prešeren Awards, our symposium introduces a paradigm shift. We open these doors to the very youngest scholars—those who have just entered the university matrix, including those who may not yet stand out as top-tier students among their peers.
