The Academy of Music at the University of Ljubljana – 80 Years: 1939-2019

The University of Ljubljana Academy of Music continues to strive to be an excellent, internationally open and accredited university music institution, though the road to receiving that recognition has been long and arduous. In the eight decades of its existence the Academy has faced many challenges, and even though some seemed insurmountable at the time, the Academy has mainly overcome them. Today, it is connected with numerous sister institutions around the world, successfully following the path of globalisation, intensive collaboration and a constant pursuit of quality, and it is always committed to the nurturing and development of Slovenia’s national culture and music.
