Šentilj and People of Šentilj

The publication Šentilj in Šentiljčani (Eng. Šentilj and People of Šentilj) is an attempt to record the memories of inhabitants of Šentilj on the(ir) recent and distant past, and to write down the stories of people and places as they were told by their parents, grandparents or neighbours. It is based on the data collected during student field trips carried out in two consecutive years. The main aim of the field trips and the fieldwork was to collect materials on the history of Šentilj: microtoponyms, stories about (recognizable) locals, stories on micro locations, social memories, life stories of the locals, and everyday life in general.
