Mental Health And Wellbeing In Midwifery Education
Keywords:
mental health, midwifery educationSynopsis
The physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions of wellbeing work together to create balance in a young person’s development. They support bodily health, emotional stability, and a sense of meaning, values and belonging. When any one of these dimensions is neglected, an imbalance can emerge - one that shows up as diminished wellbeing, greater vulnerability to stress, and diff iculties in personal and professional growth. In this journal, we have added two further dimensions that speak directly to your life as a midwifery student: your professional identity and your relationships. Together, these five pillars form the foundation of this four-week practice.
