Synopsis

14th Socratic Lectures symposium took place online on April 17, 2026. It featured two plenary lectures, 9 scientific sessions, a poster session and the student session with about 240 active participants. With 48 submissions received, the Proceedings of the 14th Socratic Lectures is organized into four distinct sections: Part I focuses on breast cancer research, followed by medicine in Part II, physics in Part III, and interdisciplinary sciences in Part IV. Part II Medicine features contents from clinical medicine, material science and physiotherapy. Close collaboration between different fields is especially important for optimal treatment of a patient and activities of Socratic Lectures have since the initiation in 2008 focused on uniting the available knowledge for the benefit of the patients. This has always been the spirit of the Socratic Lectures activities.
