Kratka vsebina

Monografija historično in etnografsko primerjalno obravnava različne vrste skupnostnih ali komunitarističnih oblik ekonomskega organiziranja. Te teme se v slovenskem prostoru velikokrat preučujejo v razmerju do preteklosti (socializem) oziroma v kontekstu sodobne socialne ekonomije. Antropološki pogled močno razširi debato in pokaže na skupnost kot temeljno kategorijo ekonomske in družbene produkcije, menjave in potrošnje in reprodukcije. V stratificiranih in kapitalističnih družbah se njihova raznovrstnost poveča, razvršča glede na hierarhijo vrednot, tako da določene ekonomije skupnosti pridobijo značaj alternativnosti.
