Synopsis

This monograph takes a systematic, transparent, and critical approach to addressing current fundamental research questions in the field of international and comparative research in education. The author draws on the most relevant authors in the field, presents their reflections in a factual manner, contrasts various arguments, and engages with them critically and argumentatively. The writing style is scholarly and concise while being accessible. This makes the book accessible to a wider readership, both to students and education professionals as well as civil servants and policy makers. The latter is extremely important in today's world, which is characterised by the strong involvement of international trends in national education policies. Policy transfer is an extremely difficult activity that can have many side effects, making the development and management of the education system impossible without knowledge of the basic laws of this transfer.

The monograph is a translation of the Serbian original published at the Faculty of Arts, University of Belgrade.
