The present publication is the final study of a four-year basic research project entitled Music and Ethnic Minorities: (Trans)Cultural Dynamics in Slovenia after the Year 1991. The participants of the project focused on the study of structures and processes of (trans)cultural dynamics of musical practices of both individuals and groups from ethnic minorities and on the communication aspects of their relationship with the majority population in the Slovenian environment. With the project and the publication, they affirm the view of Slovenia as an interactive meeting place for various musics and people who create, perform and listen to them. They were interested in the identity expressions of individuals and communities from ethnic minorities, the spaces of their activities, the influences of cultural and political institutions on their activities and the interactional aspects of relevant musical practices.
