In this chapter, we provide both an analysis and a didactic approach to the Spanish discourse marker por favor. To achieve this, we draw on the theo­retical frameworks of linguistic pragmatics and politeness theory. First, we review existing research on this marker, expanding on previous contribu­tions by offering a more detailed description of its various uses. Then, we present a didactic approach specifically designed for the objectives of the Pracomul Research Project.
