Simfonija v 19. stoletju: Zadrege zvrsti

The present book offers a selection of some of the most important works from the nearly unmanageable treasure of symphonic compositions from the 19th century. Formerly, a drought of information prevented a broad view into historical horizons, not only into the marginal but also into the most powerful cultural centers. In contrast, the current flood of information rolls over all shores such that the plethora of data drowns our knowledge in an endless ocean where it is even difficult to find the strongest maelstroms, let alone perceive the main streams in their direction and strength.
