Muzejski predmeti kot podobe skupnosti: 100 let Slovenskega etnografskega muzeja

Using the example of the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum, this article shows how items displayed at museums and their interpretations create seemingly self-evident images and perceptions of a specific com­munity. It presents contemporary museological bases, whose meanings are shaped within specific historical and social contexts and, first and foremost, through relationships with others or through learning and com­munication processes, which represent the cultural production of knowledge, identities, and desires.
