Afektivni učinki v romanih Andreja Blatnika
Synopsis
This article examines emotions and affective experiences in Andrej Blatnik’s novels, the affective interaction between cultural practices, and the fundamental determinants of the period in which these novels were written. By fictionalizing the experience of this time through various genre variations (metafictional, travelogue, dystopian, etc.), Blatnik’s novels are presented with a special emphasis on their emotional and affective potential. From Blatnik’s first novel, Plamenice in solze (Torches and Tears), defined by selfsufficient textual reality, to his last, Trg osvoboditve (Liberation Square), completely immersed in the real collapse of the old world, one can trace various strategies of emotional engagement with the world they depict.
