Emocje obywatelskie w prozie i esejach Draga Jančara
Synopsis
The reason for the great interest in work of Drago Jančar is its wealth of patriotic emotions, which can also be defined as »civic emotionality« in the literary production of this outstanding writer, a feature that has always been important for Poles in their own literature. Among the basic emotions that accompany this type of work are the desire for freedom, solidarity, and rebellion against injustice. In the perception of secondary readers, Jančar’s innovative and essayistic statement in his works (especially in his essays) corresponds to the Polish situation and calls for comparative research. This article examines the writer’s emotional involvement in the political changes in Slovenia and elsewhere in the former Yugoslavia.
