Stripovska reprezentacija jeze, žalosti, strahu in gnusa med prejemniki zlate hruške med letoma 2016 in 2024

This article focuses on the representation of the basic negative emotions (anger, sadness, fear, and disgust) in children’s comics that have received the Ljubljana City Library’s Golden Pear award between 2016 and 2024. The quantitative analysis examines the visual and verbal expressions of these emotions and highlights their frequency, modes of expression, and specific examples. Based on the findings and the theoretical framework of literary empathy, the discussion considers which of the basic negative emotions appears most frequently, which verbalvisual means they are expressed through, and why.
