Čustva med tekstom in telesom: Analiza morske deklice Nine Kuclar Stiković

Using cognitive neuroscience as a basis, this article highlights the role of emotions in contemporary drama. Based on a linguistic, stylistic, and dramaturgical analysis of Nina Kuclar Stiković’s play morska deklica (The Mermaid), it examines three central motifs and themes and emphasizes the importance of a thorough analysis of the text, which contributes to the development of a suitable actor–language consultant approach. Such an approach allows for the meaningful inclusion of analytical insights into the staging process and contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the artistic and social potential of contemporary drama.
