Literarna empatija in pesniška zbirka Ponikalnice Ivanke Hergold
Synopsis
Ivanka Hergold’s prose, plays, and poetry are marked by a special kind of literary empathy— that is, understanding someone else’s experience and opening up to others—which was not properly evaluated during her lifetime. This article, which focuses on her youthful poetry collection Ponikalnice (Disappearing Streams), refers to it as empathetic reflexivity, dividing it it into a double presence: the level of the lyrical subject and poetological openness. Namely, it is the following processes that contribute to the empathy of the lyrical speaker: aesthetic descriptions, contrastive dynamics, and innovative images.
