Metoda transkulturne filozofske sublacije: teorija in praksa
Keywords:
comparative philosophy, sublation, transculturality, intercultural studies, Chinese intellectual traditionsSynopsis
The book discusses a theoretical model of post-comparative transcultural analysis through the application of a new method of sublation, which the author has developed in recent years. The theoretical framework of this method was already elaborated in detail in the author’s first Slovenian book on the topic, titled Transcultural Comparative Philosophy and the Method of Sublation, published by the University of Ljubljana Press in 2025. Like the first book, this one is also divided into two parts: a theoretical section, which deals with the structure, differentiation, and procedures of the method, and a practical section, which presents its application through various case studies. However, whereas the previous volume primarily focused on theoretical explanation—covering nearly two-thirds of the text—this book inverts that ratio. Here, the emphasis is on concrete applications of the method of sublation, while the theoretical part only outlines the basic elements sufficient for understanding the practical examples that follow. While the first volume presented only three applications of the method, this second volume includes no fewer than seven.
