Synopsis

The present monograph is a study on the spatial differentiation of Ljubljana based on the sense of neighbourhood as expressed by the residents of the Municipality of Ljubljana in the period between 2001 and 2023. Their sense of neighbourhoods was reported and based on three aspects: popularity, unpopularity and fear. The research approach combines the humanistic-geographical (phenomenological), behavioural-geographical and positivistic, spatial science elements. Place, neighbourhood and sense of place are central among the fundamental concepts addressed in the study.
