Synopsis

This monograph investigates the progression of geography education methodolo­gies, encompassing their evolution, scholarly advancements, pedagogical strate­gies, and the diverse roles undertaken by geography educators. It highlights specific research instances within this field, such as employing competency-based tasks in geography classes, implementing student portfolios to foster a sustainable under­standing of geography and English, and conducting cross-disciplinary activities in­tegrating geography, English, and elective subjects like dietary patterns in primary school. Additionally, it addresses the promotion of awareness among young learn­ers regarding locally sourced food and agriculture, the integration of multiple intel­ligences in geography and Spanish lessons utilizing digital interactive whiteboard technology and picture dictionaries, the utilization of maps for teaching geography and history at the primary level, incorporating geographical names in geography and Slovene instruction, and the exploration of Slovene expatriate literature from Argen­tina for cross-curricular teaching of geography and Slovene in primary education.
