Pesniška prepletanja od Trsta do Benečije
Synopsis
This article uses a comparative perspective to elucidate similar text strategies in the poetic discourse of Trieste and Slavia Veneta, while also highlighting the differences in the historical and cultural linguistic contexts of these regions. In this regard, it delves into contemporary Slavia Veneta poetry, analyzing selected poems from the perspective of multilingual literary practices – especially code switching, which unveils the complex linguistic dynamics in Slavia Veneta – and from the perspective of literary imagology, which reveals latent literary multilingualism and the presence of the Other in the poetic arena, which runs counter to efforts to preserve the Slavia Veneta dialect.
