Robbov vodnjak: Med barokom in sedanjostjo

This article starts by presenting the Robba Fountain, from its plans and construction to the present day. It first presents the circumstances of its creation and introduces the sculptor Francesco Robba. It then seeks to position the fountain iconographically, based on two main theses. The more established one says that it is the Fountain of the Three Carniolan Rivers and that the three figures on it represent the Sava, Ljubljanica, and Krka rivers. The second thesis is related to the classical myth of the Argonauts. The conclusion focuses on the perception of the Robba Fountain in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. In doing so, it takes into account how Jože Plečnik and Oton Župančič viewed the fountain.
