This article examines two syntactic environments in which variations in the position and presence of the comma are common. The first is the combination of an antecedent and a subordinating conjunction, and the second is the use of the conjunction in ‘and’ in non-conjunctive coordination and parenthesis. This article presents and comments on the situation in the Gigafida 2.0 corpus. The aim is to point out problematic cases, which can be used in developing revised rules for comma use.
