Synopsis

Translation into Slovenian has an impact on language and translation norms, which are changing in line with processes of globalization. Translations are temporally and culturally determined, and they are also guided by translation strategies and global processes taking place in society. This article discusses examples of culturally specific terms, globalisms, and internationalisms to highlight changes in the translation of literary texts that have taken place over the last fifty years.
