This article reviews the adaptation of French masculine proper names in Slovenian normative guides. It focuses on various solutions to morphological adaption, which are problematic when the differences between written spelling and pronunciation are unusual for standard Slovenian. The overview of normative guides highlights a tendency toward more detailed and systematized solutions.
