Jezikovna sorodnost slovenščine in češčine ter z njo povezana možnost stilnega neravnovesja leksikalnih enot (s poudarkom na primerih iz Slovensko-češkega slovarja)
Synopsis
Cross-linguistic homonymy and paronymy between Czech and Slovenian has received substantial attention in recent years, but the issue of »false friends« from a stylistic point of view—that is, words with the same or similar meaning in the two languages, but with different stylistic classifications—has so far been neglected. This topic also proved to be relevant when working on a new Slovenian‒Czech dictionary, for which the stylistic value of the source language lemmas or examples had to be taken into account when searching for the right equivalents in the target language. This article presents concrete examples of cross-linguistic pairs with different stylistic definitions and the corresponding lexicographic solutions.
