Med jezikovno kulturo in kulturnim konservativizmom: Leksikalni pari prevzeto – domače

This article deals with the use of borrowed words in Slovenian. Usage is determined on the basis of a corpus analysis using lexical pairs of loanwords versus native words, paying particular attention to identifying differences and similarities at the level of evaluative meaning. In doing so, assumptions are made about the actual relationships between the linguistic (corrective) paranorm, as typically realized in lexical interventions, and actual language use.
